What we will cover

Week 1

You will be introduced to the foundational principles of Ayurveda, meditation, and yoga, as well as the three primary mind-body Doshas or constitutions: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Week 2

In this session, you will learn how to select the most nourishing foods for your mind-body type. You will be guided in Ayurvedic nutritional practices that will help you maintain vibrant health, appropriate weight, and optimised
digestion.

Week 3

This session focuses on the tools and practices of rejuvenation and renewal.  You will learn how to identify and eliminate toxins that accumulate in your mind and body. In addition you will learn gentle rejuvenating practices, holistic techniques to relieve stress and anxiety and a personal daily routine for balance and health, as well as the secrets of restful sleep. We will also learn about Neti pots, oil pulling and Abhyanga for daily balance.

Week 4

You will learn why emotional freedom is the key to physical, mental and emotional health. We will be looking at practices and techniques of conscious communication, biological responses, and the steps of emotional release which can transform your relationships and help you experience more joy in your life.

Week 5

This lesson delves into the healing power of the five senses: sound, touch, sight, taste, and smell.  You will learn how to strengthen the body’s inner pharmacy by using specific tools that use each of the senses to heal, nourish and balance your mind-body.  In this session, you will also learn how aromatherapy affects our mind-body constitution differently.

What to bring/wear

  • Please wear warm loose clothing that will allow for unrestricted gentle movement (this doesn’t need to be yoga/Pilates kit).
  • We recommend you bring a wrap or light rug for meditation.
  • You will receive a workbook which you can annotate or make brief notes in but you may like to bring a separate journal and pen for note-taking.
  • We will have a short interval mid-morning when black, green and herbal teas will be served.

How much is it?

The course costs £250, but you can take advantage of our special early bird offer of £225 if you book and pay for your place by 15th February.
